Review

The Hate of Loving You takes place six years later after the events of The Sin of Kissing You where Keyton and Bay are brought together again. Now I gotta say when the synopsis for this book was released and I saw the six years time jump I was skeptical about how the story was gonna conclude. But Maya delivers and the time jump actually beautifully wraps the plot to help with the character’s progression. The conclusion to Bay and Keyton’s story was written beautifully and so naturally that it is easy to forget how much has passed since they last saw each other. I loved how easy they communicated with each other and how the bond between them is so strong even after several years. It was so nice to see Fulton U gang appear in this, it really brought it all to an end. This is definitely one series I will be revisiting.

Kissing her was a mistake. It was supposed to be the period at the end of the sentence, closing the book on this attraction between us. I’d thought maybe she’d slap me or shove me away.

Instead, she’d met my lips with her own uncontainable desire. I’d pressed my hand against the small of her back and held her face to mine. Staring into her eyes, I knew it wasn’t the end of anything.

I’d dropped a lit match into a warehouse of fireworks, and all I had was a garden hose to fight this fire.

Maya Hughes, that’s me!, can often be found sneaking in another chapter while hiding in the bathroom from her kids! 🙂 I’m a romance writer who loves taking inspiration from everyday life, namely my husband and biggest fan.
